My best friend's wedding!!!

To start with.. I landed at colombo airport together with two of the groom's cool cousines.. Then there was the long n horrendous 5 hr ride from colombo to galle. As the ride went along i slowly got out of the frustrated mindset that big city traffic usually brings to me. It was now that i finally opened my eyes to actually look at what was outside.. I have rarely seen such beauty. The crisp, clean beaches, the scatered rocks in between them and making this wonderfull nature machine work- the fisher folk, with their small wooden boats & their nets... They truely inspire life. Although i could still notice some of the scars left behind by the tsunami.. The people had bounced back really well.. The sri lankan people are really chilled out. They dont stress themselves over some of the trivial things that we consider so important. I especially find them really trust worthy and honest. They seem to have re-invented the long lost art of smiling... Just smiling.. With the sole intention of passing on the joy that they carry in such abundance, with such honesty. I know some people might consider some of them dumb and stupid, because they dont speak english that well or cant communicate that well. I myself can say from experience that i've never been screwed over by a stranger whome i considered good. I think i have travelled enough to say this with some credibility.
Well.. Finally we reached the awesome bunglow where the groom's party had been staying.. That place could easily have passed for malibu.. Ofcourse, except for all the commercialism that comes with malibu. The point being.. This place was straight out of a movie. It was beautifull.. Cant say it enough.. Had a nice chat with the groom's mom n aunt... Then came my best friend.. Who is ofcourse the groom. He was really stressed.. I can only imagine, with all those preparations, but one could not miss the happiness in his eyes. I shared a beer with one of his friends.. Lets call him H.
Now i came to my hotel room. It was perfect. It was sea facing and right on the beach. My best friend.. Lets call him K. He and his mother wanted me to stay at their bunglow.. But me, the stupid fucking moron that i am, decided to make plans with someone else, which ofcourse i was chucked out of. Now i ended up all alone in my nice hotel room. But god gave me the good sense to rent a scooter. Now i could come n go as i liked. It would have been more fun had i actually taken K's offer. But it would have been really inconvinent for him to adjust me in the last minute, especially after i said no the first time. Anyways..
Now it was evening before the wedding and it was time for something called the "rosce" ceremony.. Its a typical manglorean tredition where the bride, groom and the bride's maids and the groom's men are applied coconut oil and coconut Milk so that they look all radiant and glowing the next day for the wedding. It starts off with a prayer and then its all formal and mellow... But by the time its the friends turn to apply the oil and the milk, it turns in to much more fun. Then the people had their showers and then the party started..It was really nice with the whole family partying together. Then the party moved on to the pool.. This pool was barely 10 feet from the sea!! Now u know why this place is so awesome?? It was a long long night of hardcore partying. It started with H,C,P, J and me but later on the beach we were joined by A & R. These r the two most awesome srilankan dudes i've ever known. It was almost 7 in the morning before i could go to sleep. I was talkin to P n C. P is one of the coolest girls i've met. She also gave me some valuable inputs regarding my situation. She is surprisingly accurate with her judgements regarding people.
Well the wedding day n the recption shall come later.. I'm not used to writing so much dude, although my new phone is makin it a lot easier... More later.. Ofcourse not that anyone is reading...
